Sweet up front with a subtle kick on the back end. It's less sugary than several other Meat Church rubs. "Texas Sugar" is just a name they'd always wanted to use.

It comes from Matt's competition days, and plenty of cooks have gotten paid in KCBS and IBCA contests with it on ribs, pork and chicken.
