Bill Purvis cooks as Chicken Fried BBQ, a one-man team out of Magnolia, Texas. He entered his first contest in 2019 and took first place ribs and Reserve Grand Champion. Since then he's won more than 50 grand and reserve grand championships, with wins and top finishes at the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational and the American Royal.

This is the base sauce behind his whole competition program. It's balanced on purpose: sweet, a little heat, smoke and tang, with nothing sticking out.
